Your skin is the largest organ of your body and is an essential part of the immune system .
It is the only organ in the body that can be nourished from the inside and the outside!
There are many well researched ingredients and nutrients that target different aspects of the skin and work to improve it in different ways. Some ingredients work topically , some nutrients work by being consumed and some work both from the outside in and from the inside out!

Winter can play havock on our skin and even though it's almost over, just a month to go , here are some tips from me to help improve your skin .
1 ) Drink plenty of water . Hydrate your skin from the inside out! Less alcohol and caffeinated drinks as this will dehydrate your skin.
2 ) Choose your cleanser wisely! Be sure to choose a soothing ,creamy cleanser that won’t strip your skin of its natural oils which are needed to protect overall moisture. Toss any face washes with drying ingredients, like fragrances or additives, these will only dry out your skin further.
3) Protect your skin from the cold with a serum and a rich moisturiser. Switch to an oil-based moisturizer in the winter; your skin will appreciate it. Consider overnight deep moisturizer treatments which can help particularly dry areas like hands feet elbows knees and lips.
4) Continue using the Sunscreen in all seasons.
5 ) Exfoliate for excellent skin! I recommend chemical exfoliations in winter. A perfect time for at home or in Spa peels . I encourage you to book one soon before Spring. I highly recommend my wonderful Aesthetician , Rutu, at Institut' DERmed Spa
